How UNITE fees work

What UNITE takes on sessions and event tickets, who pays the card fee, and how practitioners get paid. Last updated 29 October 2026.

If you're booking or buying
The price you see is the price you pay.

The price on a practitioner's page is what you pay for a session. Most practitioners include Stripe's card fee in that price, so it is never added later. UNITE's fee comes out of their side. Sales tax is added at checkout only where it applies.

Event tickets show one total, start to finish.

Some hosts include the fees in the ticket and some cover them themselves. Either way, the total you see on the event is the total you pay at checkout.

A friend's link never costs more.

A ticket bought through someone's share link costs the same as one bought straight from the event page.

Free is free.

A free ticket costs nothing. No card fee, no UNITE fee.

Your card stays with Stripe.

Payments are processed by Stripe. UNITE never sees or stores your card details.

1:1 sessions

UNITE sent you the client 15% You keep 85% of your price
Your own client, booking through your own client link 5% You keep 95% of your price. Your client link is on your dashboard.
Your own client, while you hold an active membership 0% You keep 100% of your price
UNITE's fee comes out of your price. Your client pays Stripe's card fee on top, shown in one price from the first look, so your share stays whole. You can cover the card fee yourself instead in your settings, and then it comes out of your share. You can also have your clients pay UNITE's first 5% on top. When UNITE brought the client, the other 10% always comes out of your share.
Example: a session listed at $111
Who brought the clientClient paysUNITEYou get
UNITE$114.63$16.65$94.35
You$114.63$5.55$105.45
You, as a member$114.63$0.00$111.00

Stripe's card fee is about 2.9% plus 30 cents. Your client pays it by default, which is the $3.63 in the example. UNITE never pays it and never adds to it.

Getting paid

Connect Stripe and your share goes to your own Stripe account when the client pays, with UNITE's fee taken out in the same step. Not connected yet? The payment comes to UNITE and we send you your share ourselves.

Event tickets

UNITE fee, on the ticket price 1.11%
Card fee, per order. What Stripe charges to move the money. 2.9% + 30¢
You choose who carries each one: you absorb it, or the buyer pays it. Both start on absorb. Free tickets carry no fees at all. With a promo code, every fee is worked out on the price after the code.
Affiliates, if you turn them on. Paid when someone else brings you a new buyer: a person sharing your link, or UNITE. Your rate You set it, 15% to start. It comes out of your share of the ticket price before tax, never the buyer's price, and it goes back if the ticket is refunded. A sharer's reward is paid once your refund cutoff passes, or 5 days after the event if you have not set one.
Your own people only ever cost you 1.11%: anyone who follows you on UNITE, is on the list you bring, or buys through your own link.
Example: a $111 ticket
Who carries the feesBuyer paysYou get
You absorb both$111.00$106.25
Buyer pays the UNITE fee$112.23$107.45
Buyer pays the card fee$114.62$109.77
Buyer pays both$115.89$111.00

When the buyer pays the card fee, Stripe charges on the bigger total too, so it works out a few cents more than 2.9% + 30¢ of the ticket. That's what keeps the card fee off your side.

We give 30 days' notice before changing the session fees. The full terms are on the terms page.
